POLICIES CANCELLATION AND CHANGES

In Wayki Trek, we understand that life is unpredictable —and even more for the free spirits like you. Therefore, we have designed a cancellation policy clear, fair and humane, so that you can plan your trip with complete peace of mind.

1. Cancellations

 More than 30 days before the start of the tour:

  • It retains only the initial deposit to cover administrative costs and advance reservations.
  • Possibility to reschedule with the same deposit to a new date (subject to availability and terms and conditions similar).

Between 29 and 11 days before the start:

  • will Be charged 50% of the total cost of the tour.
  • You will be able to deliver managed services: tickets, logistics, and permits acquired.

From 10 to 4 days before the start:

  • apply an 80% penalty on the total program.
  • You will keep right to your entrance tickets, train, bus and guided tour of Machu Picchu.

Cancellation of last minute (less than 4 days) or no show (No Show):

  • there is No refund (100% of the total).
  • Preserves the tickets purchased, but is non-refundable

2. Changes of Date or Participant

  • Change date: Only possible if requested more than 30 days in advance and subject to availability of the new group.
  • Change of name (by reason of force majeure): Applicable only if you have not issued official permits.

In case of abandonment of the tour by personal choice or medical problems, no refunds will be made for unused services. However, we will help you to reconnect with your group in Machu Picchu, if you want so that you can enjoy your entry and guided tour as planned.

3. Events outside our control

  • Strikes, natural disasters, protests, or governmental changes are not attributable to Wayki Trek.
  • If an event of force majeure, we suggest alternatives (at no additional cost if is possible) to ensure that your experience will continue.

From Km 82, you’ll start your journey through the legendary Inca Trail. You will walk along the Vilcanota river and discover the archaeological sites of Salapunku, Qoriwayrachina and Llactapata.

Among green valleys and high peaks, each step will be a conversation with a silent history. The night in camp, under the starry sky, you will remember that the real adventure happens both in the landscape as in your interior.

You will ascend by secluded trails, across fertile valleys and the “jungle highest in the world”. After a break in Wayllabamba, you will continue to Llulluchapampa, where the fresh air and the sounds of the wind among the bushes will accompany your progress.

Today will face the day more challenging. You will cross over the high passes of Warmiwañusca (4,215 m) and Runkurakay (3,800 m), between valleys, misty, and tundras. Each top conquered resonate like a personal triumph.

You’ll explore sites like Sayacmarca and you will see the eyebrow of the jungle, spread before you. It will be a day of deep introspection, where each effort and every landscape you teach that on the difficult road lies the authentic transformation.

You descend by steps incas carved in stone, wrapped by the thick vegetation of the cloud forest. When you arrive at Wiñay Wayna, you can see the perfect fusion between engineering and nature.

Finally, you will arrive at Inti Punku, the Gate of the Sun”, where Machu Picchu is disclosed through the mist like an old dream. This will be a time of contemplation and intimate celebration: the moment you start with the silent grandeur of the Andes.

Because the Inca Trail is a protected area, access is limited to only 500 people per day. , This figure includes not only travelers, but also to guides, cooks and porters of all the routes (4, 5 and 6 days).
